Reverse Lunges

Quads Bodyweight

Description

Reverse lunges are a lower body exercise that targets the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes while also engaging the core for stability. Unlike traditional lunges where the step is forward, in reverse lunges, individuals step backward, lowering the back knee towards the ground until both knees are bent at 90-degree angles. This exercise helps to improve leg strength, balance, and coordination while placing less stress on the knees compared to forward lunges, making it suitable for individuals with knee issues.

How To

01 Stand feet hip-width, chest up, core braced
02 Step one leg back into a lunge
03 Lower until both knees hit 90 degrees
04 Drive through the front heel to stand
05 Alternate legs, keep the movement controlled
