Side-Lying Banded Hip Abduction

Hip Abductors Resistance Band

Description

The side-lying banded hip abduction is an exercise that targets the hip abductors, including the gluteus medius and minimus. In this movement, an individual lies on their side with a resistance band placed around their thighs, just above the knees, and then lifts both legs while keeping the knee of the bottom foot flat to the floor, and keeping the core engaged and the body stable. This exercise helps strengthen the outer hips, improve lateral stability, and enhance overall lower-body strength and mobility.

How To

01 Lie on your side, band looped above your knees
02 Stack your hips and keep the bottom knee down
03 Drive your knees apart against the band
04 Lower back down with control, don't rush
05 Finish the reps, then switch sides
