Close-Grip Barbell Bench Press

Triceps Barbell

Description

The close-grip barbell bench press is a variation of the traditional bench press that targets the triceps and shoulders. In this exercise, individuals grip the barbell with their hands placed closer together (usually shoulder-width or narrower) while lowering the bar to the chest and pressing it back up. This exercise helps build triceps strength, improve pressing power, and increase muscle definition in the upper body.

How To

01 Lie on the bench, grip the bar shoulder-width, feet flat
02 Brace your core and arch slightly
03 Lower the bar to your chest, elbows tucked tight
04 Drive the bar up, squeezing your triceps
05 Control the descent and repeat
